Microsoft working towards social convergence to beat competitors

In the constant race of digital marketing, Microsoft is finding way to beat Google. In a new attempt, Microsoft has started working on social aggregate concept. This concept involves combining all social information, content from different sources and bringing that to one point at digital marketing.

Though concept is not new in the age of digital marketing as many companies had already shown some interest in this new idea and many have actually worked in this regard. But none of the companies has succeeded yet. It is just the start of Microsoft's struggle, and they have to see way ahead. Even Bing by Microsoft has been working on introducing some online tool for shopping.

In this technology prone world of digital marketing, online social content has received special attention of all agencies and consultancies.

Companies have hired some other online working agencies to collect all data and keep them together. Spandex is one consultancy working in this field for Microsoft. It is engaged in collecting and sorting out all digital marketing information from Bing, social network sites like Face Book, Twitter also RSS feeds and ever note.

High official at Microsoft Lil Cheng is optimistic of this new digital marketing idea and thinks that People use social networks for various purposes and in varying ways. Post are placed (face book), on Twitter, people Tweet and certain information is recorded and taken through Ever note. What Microsoft wants to do is to get the perfect data and information for everyone at the right place, in right time so they are in a position to gain maximum advantage out of that.

The overall idea of integrating all social digital marketing information is worth thinking and Microsoft's Bing is already working on developing some online shopping tool. This is an attempt on the part of Microsoft to make its search consultancy more social.

The technology works like one show window, through which one can search any product and at the same time talk to friends or take advice. Here Bing acts as a shopping spot, you select any product let's say phone, check its features and then on the same window, icon ask your friends about the price of that phone. By using link on Bing, people can find, edit and share any information with friends on this new digital marketing world. Google could be Microsoft's competitor in this particular field. But Google has been blamed of copying certain features of Bing and Ask. Com and added in its new search URL. On this particular search tool, one don't feel a need to go on different pages rather can navigate among different items.

The major issue at digital marketing with social data collection is suitable handling of that information. Even Microsoft personal Cheng admit it to be hard business. Google has prepared Buzz to take advantage of this particular discovery but success is not guaranteed. But hopes are high for Bing, if it manages to hold before competitors, the game will be over but at the same time Spindex is also struggling to gain advantage at some cost.
