Google Search Rankings

Google's wide arsenal of ranking factors used to determine which companies or agencies website positions had broadened, with the granting of the new patent that accounts for the position on a user's mouse cursor on the screen - without any clicks. Google's advancement has made digital marketing more competitive than ever.

This unique system and its methodology for modulating search relevancy using pointer activity monitoring were handed over to Google on Tuesday. It allows search engines to collect information about where browser users hover mouse cursors when viewing search results and advertisements; this makes the game of digital marketing fiercer than ever. Companies and agencies now have to come up with new ideas to catch the customer's eye.

Writing for Search Engine Optimization by the Sea, Bill Slaw ski explained that such information is more useful to Google when determining page ranks than relying on click through rates, this is partly because some search results alone will provide the user with all the information they might need on the topic without having to advance any further, this technology will definitely help companies digitally market themselves more effectively. Rather than just having a web page agencies and firms will now pay more attention to their sites.

While the behavioral science underlying this new advancement is far from clear, the search engine giant has definitely done its research when it comes to analyzing browsing habits. Digital marketing could become easier due to the extensive analysis' being made.

With a projection of the users behavior Google has based their system upon the act of a mouse cursor hovering over a title, a typical users behavior is to move the mouse pointer over or near their target information item, then they keep the mouse their for a period of time until they are done reading the item's information, this new system will definitely give rise to competitors trying to design the better web site, which will increase the need for digital marketing professionals.

However, even with all the new and unique digital marketing techniques sometimes a user may review multiple informational icons in response to a search query by moving a pointer over or near each of the informational items that the user reviews. This type of pointer activity can provide another way to evaluate the user's feedback with respect to a particular informational item. This enhances a small firm with a creative web page to get more digital marketing due to their niche markets.

However, Google is making a number of assumptions that may not hold true with all its users - actions such as hovering for longer periods over one search item due to its indicative characteristics or sustained interest or perhaps even confusion. Nevertheless the need for seriousness from webmasters will be taken into account when bumping up their pages to get their pages a decent ranking through digital marketing.
