Face book, a social networking giant, as part of its digital marketing strategy has revealed that it will launch a virtual currency by the name of 'Facebook credits'. This news by the company meant that Facebook will now allow its users to buy and sell, virtual and physical goods and services over the internet, once 'Facebook credits' are launched.

The Facebook credits are said to become the default payment currency of the company. The company said that the system will be similar to that used by PayPal, online payment firm of EBay. Facebook is hoping for good response to this digital marketing campaign that it is launching as a part of its promotion and improving the way social networking is done these days.

The product is currently being tested and is said to be released in September. Only after that can the response to this digital marketing campaign by Facebook be assessed.

The Facebook credits are initially going to be aimed at trading of virtual games only. Facebook is highly popular for the games it provides on its network. But plans are to extend the functioning of the Facebook credits by allowing them to function in buying and selling of physical goods as well.

This launch by Facebook is to benefit many.
