Digital marketing via this tool can take place by sending out advertisements in various mediums. They can be text advertisements, display advertisements and video advertisements. This feature also allows you to digitally market yourself through rich media advertisements. This means that you can use digital marketing through media that involves online streaming, video and audio. For example, the advertisements change as the mouse passes over them.
Aitan Weinberg, the product manager at Google said, "Remarketing allows [marketers] to advertise to users who have previously visited their Web site." He also added that this feature can be used for digital marketing in combination with other various Google products such as search marketing. "For example, an advertiser could leverage search to drive traffic to its site, and then later use remarketing to target those people that visited its site when they are on a contextually similar site," said Aitan Weinberg when he introduced this new digital marketing feature that Google had introduced recently. This digital marketing feature called Remarketing had been in testing since March 2009.
Samsung, Intercontinental Hotels Group and Nissan's Infiniti line tested this product in its beta version before it was released. They checked this digital marketing feature to analyze its performance. Samsung used this feature to remarket to all its consumers who had visited their YouTube page, Nissan Infiniti line targeted luxury car enthusiasts during NCCA men's basketball tournament and Intercontinental targeted visitors with special offers.
