Online privacy guaranteed via new Google add on

With the increased use of the internet in these modern times, everyone has learnt to adapt to these new changes. Even a company has learnt to adapt by using the internet to perform its various large scale activities. One of these activities that a company can perform over the internet is digital marketing. Digital marketing simply means using the internet to perform some of your marketing activities. Digital marketing includes advertisements and promotion over the internet. Digital marketing also involves using search engine optimization to make your business one of the top results on a search engine.

Now that the use of the internet has become more popular, people who use the internet are more concerned about their privacy. They are worried about personal information being released over the internet. They find this very undesirable. Similarly, internet users also want to stay away from unnecessary spam or junk mail that they may receive. They may also want to stay away from the digital marketing of some firms that send emails and gather information about consumers relating to their location etc. to many internet users, this kind of digital marketing is unwanted and many people believe that many businesses may over use digital marketing to an unreasonable level at times.

This year, Google, one of the top web companies announced the release of an add-on that would allow consumers to block the release of information to Google Analytics (GA) as they surf the web. These Google Analytics include many businesses that analyze their target markets movements on the web and then use it for digital marketing. In addition to the application that is being offered, Google is also allowing website owners to add new coding that makes the IP addresses of their visitors anonymous, as an option. This allows web users to have more privacy and stay away from businesses that over use digital marketing to promote them by gathering information on their target markets movement online.

"We've worked hard to make Google Analytics both a robust and reliable web analytics platform while also ensuring the trust and privacy of visitors of these websites. Today we're taking additional steps to provide even more choice and transparency for both website owners and users," claimed a Google's spokesperson.

To many businesses it may seem odd that Google would want to restrict its Google Analytics users, but privacy is now a major concern for many. Any digital marketing agency or consultancy can always over use digital marketing that may be unwanted by consumers.

However, such an agency or consultancy can always provide you with great marketing strategies.
