Google trying to capitalize on attracting small businesses
Google, though big digital marketing ad agent and search engine, still lack behind in one emerging market potentials; small businesses. Now it's turn for Google to capitalize on a new dimension of digital marketing that is small and new business owners but this time in a new and novel way. Initially AD Words had been in digital marketing for placing ads for various products by many companies thus Google AD Words have always been the main source of revenue for Google advertisement consultancy but on the other hand it had always proved pretty expensive for small business agencies. This could be further backed by the fact that many businesses finally stopped using AD Words; because of its hard functionalities and tough high prices. The payment mode for AD Words has been through click thus many small companies find it very expensive to pay at the end of the day. Setting up business on digital marketing search sites is very hard and requires special care and attention; if companies fail to create much attention for their businesses and their efforts don't bear fruit, all go in vain and huge amount of money is wasted.
Annually Google gets around 800 pounds from digital marketing advertisements. Small businesses have never been targeted by Google and thus still it has to explore this vast market of small business. Google has started another campaign called free "Google tags". Various companies and business agencies will not be asked to pay a single penny in order to subscribe in the first 3o days of this campaign. It works just like a Google map; usually yellow color tags are used. When arrow scroll over it, the tag indicates the exact content of the supplier, coupons and can also highlight company's images (photos).
Google's AD Word consultancy has become steady in growth phase (cash cow) and while Google digital marketing tags charge on a monthly basis as less than as $25, which small businesses find easy and manageable to pay.
From July 23, Friday Google is promoting its new product under the name of free offering for a period of one month. During that month Google is encouraging not only small and new businesses and agencies to get their Google tags for free but also distributing tags among various AD Words too. Thus acquiring new customers and retaining old as well.
When particularly talk about America, many small businesses are being set up and they all do require proper space and place in digital marketing to get their customers. Google though have now started looking towards this target market and if manages to gain success, can make Google tag yet another digital marketing revenue making machine.
At the end the key to success for Google is to get hold of tag customers and make their placement better. Ask for their listing level. If Google can do this they can explore another digital marketing growth path for them.
